What was the highlight of Panorama Retreat & Resort
Good value for money, to some extent.
The hotel's location is beautiful! Very scenic and pleasing to the eye. The sound of birds chirping and the trees surrounding the grounds make it a very romantic location for a couple's get away. The bed was very comfortable and having the AC/heating unit be so close to the bed is wonderful.
The bathroom is terrible. Very cramped unfortunately, so even just having one person in there makes it an awkward and difficult experience. The shower doesn't provide much water flow and so having a shower is doable, but unless you're someone who like me, needs a shower to wake up in the morning and hates going even just a day without one, it's not worth it. You're better off showering somewhere else, wherever that may be, home, a friend's place, etc. Equalising water temperature is a challenge. You can either have it be scolding hot or freezing cold, it doesn't leave much room to have a nice warm shower. The knobs are really stubborn and hard to adjust, almost like they're rusted.

Ideal for a short stay to explore the beautiful Dandenongs.
The facility is designed for conferences and retreats but is able to accommodate private stays. It is set within tranquil gardens deep within the forests of the Dandenongs. It was quiet and clean with resort like facilities - swimming pool, tennis courts etc.
We requested 2 X single beds but the room allocated was set up with a double bed. Also, the main room light wasn't working. However, reception staff were responsive and both issues were corrected relatively swiftly. The facility is located away from shops and services - a vehicle is required.
